Artificial Intelligence & Computer Vision Engineer
Biomedical engineer specialized in artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision with applications to medical imaging.
I am Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer at the Clario R&D medical imaging division, working
on deep learning technologies for medical images analysis in the context of large-scale clinical trials.
In 2017, I graduated in Biomedical
Engineering (equiv. MSc) from Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy,
while part of the image and signal processing laboratory of Télécom Paris, France. In 2018, I joined the image-guided surgery
team of Necker Hospital, leading the AI research activity and managing the tech transfer operations. The developed methods were used
in more than 100 complex operations, the project entering the ParisBiotechSanté start-up incubator in 2021. In 2022, I joined
Clario for my current position as deep-learning engineer.
My interests include supervised learning, neural networks, medical imaging, shapes recognition, decision theory, explainable AI and robotics.
I authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on AI methods for MRI processing and I am the main contributor to various imaging software solutions.
I am active in the entrepreneurship and start-up environments, participating in the HEC Bio-Entrepreneurs program and co-founding a start-up spin-off of the
Imagine Institute. With my industry, academic and public healthcare experiences, I regularly give lectures on medical imaging for Master programs, and I mentor junior engineers and medicine students.
June 2022 - Present
Clario is the global leader in technology services for clinical trials management. As a senior member of the algorithms and automation team, I provided innovative AI solutions for large-scale trials based on medical imaging technologies.
Mar. 2019 - May 2022
Necker is the main European pediatric hospital for robotic surgery. Leading the image-guided surgery team, I delivered digital twin technologies and augmented reality systems used in more than 100 complex operations. I managed the AI research and the tech transfer operations.
Sep. 2017 - Feb. 2018
Research internship in the image, data and signal processing lab (LTCI - IDS) of the leading French engineering school in artificial intelligence.
